I’m really glad I decided to do this.

Meanwhile on TN, I’ve made some posts in the Battledome. First, I started taking part in the Konan vs Neji thread. With a few of the BD regulars against Neji, I think it might put some activity in if I play on the other side. Plus, I got some cool ideas on what he could do.

The other thread I took part in was one I had made: Kakashi vs. Kirin. Now, before someone thinks of the jutsu, it’s not. I’m talking about Kirin from 666 Satan (or O-Parts Hunter by Viz) by Kishimoto Seishi.

And that’s basically all I have to report for now. You’ll hear more from me one the wedding starts off. But Shoda and Shigeko have already left INS, so it’s going to get good soon.

Another thing that came to mind is how since September, there has been this whole war thing going on in the Naruto RPG. It finally clicked: this is what’s slowing everything down. The alliances, the wars. And these sorts of things should have been an event to begin with. Everyone was forcing themselves to take part in this mess, but did everyone really want to?

This was giving the characters playing village leaders too much power. They were deciding for every character within their village about who their friends and foes were. You know, that’s not cool. It’s too bad we didn’t realize this until too late. The Naruto RPG could’ve been somewhere more fun now. But all we can do is learn from this, and stop the war thing that just one or two people are pushing from continuing. It isn’t fair if only one or two RPers control the fate of everyone else’s.

Anyway, moving on, the preparations for Shoda and Shigeko’s wedding are happening right now! A group of people from Konoha headed over to the old, deserted Konoha, along with Kinyoubi and Neriki. They’re going to fix it up a bit so that the wedding ceremony can be held there. Then, after Shoda basically kicked out all the village leaders, he sent Zeni to Kankyou Town, the place where the wedding reception will be held.

This all seems to be working out well.

In some other Naruto RPG news, Versin is still in Kirigakure, but is trying to escape now. A little while back, I began using one of my new characters. She is a Genin Suna-nin named Nagahama Hiromi. However, she goes by Hiro. I started posting with her again today.

Meanwhile, Kirigakure is under attack by the Kusa missing-nin Versin/Ninstruck. My character Michi and Schro’s Luttes are taking the S-Class on. Apparently, he thinks he can just join up against the organization of Kurotaka peacefully after killing two Kiri Jounin. Ha, what?

I’m currently working on a new Bleach RPG character. This one will be an academy student, and through hard work, will rise through the ranks. I am also making the Yuki-nin I put together earlier for the Naruto RPG, Shirosaki Norio, a Genin instead of a Chuunin. I’m having difficulty deciding what exactly he should specialize in, so I figured that I could just play with him, and in time, figure it out. Let him grow into what he does.

I’m also trying to push for the 666 Satan RPG to begin soon.

On another TN-related note, two members from the RPG took their leave from TalkNaruto: legendary RPer Chronicknave (username now Kaizer) and the very helpful Zepzune (currently SooperTrooper). They seem to never want to come back, and although we shall miss them, it is really up to them to decide what to do. Although I do feel it is a bit dumb to declare leaving forever, not even giving an option for occasional visits, again it’s what they want to do. If they really do never come back, I will accept it. And if they do eventually come back, well, then that’s fine, too. I wouldn’t make a big deal about it really. I’d rather have friends come back anyway.

In the Naruto RPG, the gathering of village leaders is still going on. Hopefully that will come to an end soon. (link)

So, I’ve decided. I’m going to tie this site into TN. A whole lot. I’ll put my posts and all that jazz on here. If you want to know what this ninja is up to, then this is the place to be.

Let’s see how this goes.

Kishimoto Seishi is the younger twin and has many similarities with his brother. They both grew up with the same influences, so you see similarities in story and style. Those familiar with Naruto will notice the art similarities right off bat. Seishi was actually accused of being a copy cat sadly in Japan, to the point where Masashi had to say in his own manga for fans to leave his brother alone.

Already finished, this 76 chapter manga ran monthly, making the chapters around 40 pages. The first chapter is just short of 80 pages, which may turn some people away. However, this is a manga you can finish in a week, in just a few days for the dedicated.

I really enjoyed this manga, so the point that I actually worked with Kuro on making an RPG of. Titled 666 Satan: Return of the Beast, it takes place long after the series. After we get the right things together, it will hopefully start. I had to lower down some abilities, but the thread seems to hold more information on the series than any Wiki on the web. xD

What’s it about?
Combine the two titles, the original 666 Satan and Viz’s O-Parts Hunter, and you have a decent summary of the series. It’s about demons, angels, and O-Parts. O-Parts are ancient artifacts with magic powers, which can only be used by someone with Spirit, which is known as an O-Parts Tactician (O.P.T. for short). Then there’s the demons and angels, both based off of the Kabbalah. Of course, there’s two organizations going around collecting them.

Spoilerless Review
Our main characters in this story start out as the Ruby Crescent, a young girl who researches and wants to follow in her deceased father’s footsteps, and Jio Freed, the boy who has Satan housed inside of his body. They travel around, get into some messes due to the two organizations of Venom and Stea’s government, and pick up new members along the way.

The story is Shounen, and follows the theme, but it has a much deeper story feel to it, especially when compared to Naruto. Although it feels rushed towards the end, it all comes together. I really can’t get anymore into it without spoiling.

The art is great once you get out of the beginning, which is often something to expect with the first story of a mangaka. Much detail goes into some of the more intricate O-Parts, as well as the demons and angels.

I read the manga online, but if you can, buy or borrow the actual manga! Not only for the good of supporting mangaka, but because the translations online get terrible. At times, bubbles are left blank, with one occasion with the person actually putting in “not translated” inside of several bubbles. The grammar gets horrible as well, which ruined one of the more complicated explanations (I still don’t get what it means). There was also some chapters where they actually used “WTF” instead of real words. If I recall correctly, this madness is about the 30-55 chapter range.

As an added bonus, this manga gives a good look into ideas that came from the same places that Naruto’s author’s came from as well.

5 out of 5 shuriken for this manga. I really enjoyed it, and it was just too bad it ended so fast.

Sure, there’s many more complex things out there for webpages, such as PHP and Javascript, but that’s not the place to start.

One thing that helped me greatly with learning HTML was Neopets. Yes, that online game where you take care of pets, that eventually made card games and toys. On their site, there is an option to make a webpage for each one of your pets.

With little kids being the target audience, they would have to make editing the page simple, right? That’s why they made the Neopets HTML Guide.

Those familiar with forums (like TN ) may find the coding a bit similar to BBcode, which is what those tend to use. BBcode is basically a simplified version of HTML that lets forums only allow certain coding, as well as being much more simple.

Anyway, take a look in the guide and sign up. Experiment on your Neopet’s page. Go ahead and post a link to the page so I can check it out.

When I finally got to get my hands on working on my websites, I had already knew what to do. Why? This was because I had already had some experience in using cPanel, as well as with using an FTP client.

Anyway, with the experience there, it was all a matter of uploading stuff. I could figure it out pretty easily.

Although, there were things I did not understand, I figured them out by looking the issue up on Google, or better yet, searching the Lunarpages’ forums. I don’t think I’ve had a case where someone hadn’t already asked the problem I had. Which is totally great because then you already have the answer.

My plan, at $7.95 a month, offered a high amount of bandwidth and hard drive space. It also gave a free domain name for as long as I was with Lunarpages, which was cool because I really wanted two websites.

I really enjoy having unlimited subdomains. Although you can only get them for which site is your main one, it is fun to have. I always liked to build websites, so I could put together and experiment as much as I wanted because of the unlimited amount.

In time, Lunarpages eventually gave unlimited bandwidth and hard drive space. I know that it’s probably not really unlimited, but I don’t think I’ll be making the next YouTube, so I’ll be perfectly fine.

I knew how to install forums and other web resources, but Lunarpages offered Fantistico, which has a list of forums, CMSs, and other website-wants that it could automatically install for you. This was just more stuff for me to play with.

If you work with Fantistico, you don’t have to worry about setting up MySQL databases or uploading and unzipping stuff. You can get right into using your forum or blog right after you fill you what info you want.

Although, you may have to upload any alternative or custom templates for your site. You can use an FTP client, or cPanel’s File Manager.

Some other things that sweetened the LP deal was the free $700 worth of software you get to use for your site.

PageMason allows you to build your website using an online WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) site builder. This is awesome for anyone who doesn’t really know about HTML or just wants an easier and faster way to put a site together.

However, I will miss the original offer of free CoffeeCup Software. CoffeeCup made some nice stuff, even custom video players.

Another change that LP made was a new Starter Plan at $2.95 a month, which may be the plan some are looking for. Although you have to pay yearly for your domain, a $20 cost, it’s nice and cheap for a first site. You can only have one domain, and there are limits on bandwidth and space, but if you’re using more than that, you should probably upgrade to the Basic Plan.

Now, there are plans where you can have Lunarpages do everything for you, but you have to be willing to pay a pretty penny.

I think if you’re ready to take on making your own website, Lunarpages is the way to go. It’s best if you’re willing to learn and ask questions, but if you’re not and have the cash, you can fork it over and have them do it for you.

Anyway, go for Lunarpages. They often have coupons, so look for them!
